It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has protected and preserved our freedom of the press.
It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has protected and preserved our freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has protected and preserved our freedom to assemble.
It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has protected and preserved our the right to a fair trial.
It is the VETERAN, not the politician, who has protected and preserved our the right to vote.

Makes me cry a little, with gratitude, every time I see this reminder. Right there is just about all the perspective one with a functioning conscience would ever need.

'IT IS THE VETERAN<<WHO< over the history of our 'great nation'! WHO HAS SHOWN THE WORLD!!! What AMERICA IS! Not,,,listen-up,depuke-ma/depalma, NOT HOLLYWOOD!
